I feel my Aero Engineering design unit is very successful. Designing and creating boomerangs allows student to work in several different learning environments. Student are given the oppertunity to work physically with their hands, apply mathamatical, and scientific principles, work in groups, and even include a little personal creativity. The photos above display so of these learning environments.
Overall the lesson is excellent. Most of the lesson goes well. If I had to change something I would change the facility since the size of my class is too large for the equipment I have. Thirty two students makes it difficult to attend to all students when they need help. In addition to that bottle necks in the process happen as well.
By observing my students in a hands on environment, and seeing the success I will make every effort to incorporate multiple activities that address as many learning styles as possible.
